A computational method for solving two dimensional linear Fredholm integral equations of the second kind

Abstract

In this paper, an expansion method based on Legendre or any orthogonal polynomials is developed to find a numerical solution of two dimensional linear Fredholm integral equations. We estimate error of the presented method and give some numerical examples to demonstrate accuracy of the method. doi:10.1017/S1446181108000126
